What is collected
This site does not require an account and does not ask for personal information to read anything on it. Two kinds of data are involved: analytics about visits, and whatever you choose to send by email.
Analytics
Umami, a cookieless analytics service, records aggregate visits: page viewed, referring page, device type and approximate location at country level. It sets no cookies, stores no personal data and does not follow you across sites. It also records when an affiliate button is clicked, with the product and the position of the button on the page, so we can see which recommendations are useful. That record says a click happened; it says nothing about who clicked.
Third parties
- Amazon - when you follow a product link, Amazon receives the referral and applies its own privacy policy and cookies.
- Hosting and content delivery - the host processes standard server logs, including IP address, as part of serving the site.
- Umami - the analytics service that processes the visit data described above.
Messages sent to the contact address are kept only as long as needed to answer them and are not added to any marketing list.
Your choices
Cookies can be blocked or cleared in your browser; see the cookie policy. To ask what is held about you, or to have it deleted, write to the address on contact.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
