How we test and check sizes

This is a size-first site, so the checking procedure is about dimensions before it is about comfort. Every product goes through the same questions before it can appear on a page.

1. Where the dimension came from

Dimensions are read on the manufacturer's own site, not on the marketplace listing. Listings are edited by sellers, translated and inherited from variant products, which is how one item ends up stating two different sizes on a single page. Each product carries one of three labels, and the label is shown next to the product rather than buried here:

• Verified on the maker's site — the maker publishes a specification with the dimensions and it matches the listing. Currently 10 products.
• Maker-stated, no spec sheet — the number is consistent across the brand site and independent sellers, but no specification exists. Currently 1 product.
• Listing-only — no maker specification exists — the brand has no site, or no page for this product, so the only source is the listing itself. Currently 17 products.

Listing-only is not a euphemism for unchecked. It means the check was performed and came back empty, which is common in this category: much of what fits an RV bunk or a van platform is made by sellers with no public catalog. Those products are still worth knowing about, so they appear here — but they never lead a page, and the label travels with them everywhere they are mentioned.

2. What gets excluded outright

When a product states two different sizes in two places, it leaves the catalog. Nothing is averaged and the friendlier number is not chosen. Currently excluded:

• Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex RV 10 in — Amazon lists the product as a hybrid with pocketed coils; the brand's own site describes the same model as all-foam.
• DREAMFOAM Copperflex Essential 6 in, bunk 30x75 — The listing title says 6 inches; the Amazon specification block says the thickness is 30 inches.
• KEIKI RV Latex Memory Foam 10 in — The title says latex; the specifications say gel memory foam. The material cannot be confirmed.
• Foamma Bunk Topper 6 in, 35x79 — The 35 x 79 size does not exist in the brand's own Medium Firm size configurator.

3. Fit class

Every product and every size gets a class, shown first rather than as a footnote:

• Drop-in Stock size, order and lay in place.
• Trim to fit Sold oversized, cut down to the platform.
• Measure first Size names are unreliable in this category. Your tape decides.
• Custom only Non-rectangular. Needs a template, not a size.
• Won't fit Named so the wrong purchase can be identified. Never linked as a recommendation.

4. Photographs

No product images from the marketplace appear on this site. Amazon's images may only be used through the formats its program approves, and a photo of a mattress on a white background tells you nothing about whether it fits your coach anyway. Where an illustration helps, it is a drawing of the cavity and the numbers. Brand-supplied photography is added as makers provide it.

5. What is deliberately absent

No prices, no star ratings, no quoted reviews, and no claim that a mattress treats a medical condition. Recurring owner complaints — sagging, heat, off-gassing odor after unboxing — are described as what owners report, not as test results this site did not run.
